Affiliate Marketing – Forum Marketing

To advertise through forum sites, you must be sure you follow their rules. Before joining a forum, read the TOS first. Make sure you can put a promotional signature.

The first step is to do a search about forums related to your niche. If you are interested in ClickBank, type ”clickbank+forums” in your search engine box. You will have lots of results (in Google: 681,000 results).

That gives you the choice of the forums you will join. Second, you will visit a few of them. Here, you have 2 things to verify. One is how many members and second, does it authorize signature with a link. If you can’t put a link to your site, it is useless for you.

Try to join forums that are public instead of private. Surfers might stop and read your post even if they are not members of that forum. Writing relevant content may bring that ”on the fly” surfer to click your link.

If the 3 criteria are fulfilled, you can join it. It is suggested that you start with only one forum to practice yourself. The next step is to post. Ask and answer questions. Post relevant content. You have to establish yourself as an expert. This will create trust between you and the other members.

You will have to follow your questions and answers. Just giving an answer here and there, and forget about it, isn’t a good thing to do, you could be considered as a spammer.. Ask people to give you feed back of what you told them to try or to do. Check if they have results.

When trust is established, visits to your site increase automatically.
